Red Faction

Red Faction is a first person shooter released for Microsoft Windows and Playstation 2 back in 2001 that introduced the world of gaming to geo-modding. The PC version came with a program called RED Editor, which allowed users to create custom levels (called maps) for use in either single player or multi player. For single player, you could create your own campaigns, and for multi player, you could create deathmatch or capture the flag maps. Below is a complete list (with downloads) of all the maps created by Stalfelz and his Red Faction buddies.

Level: Temple of Time

Temple of Time is my fourth Red Faction level and is mainly a remake from Twilight Princess but with a lot of custom elements. It took me a long time and I payed a lot of attention to detail so I hope you enjoy the map!
As usual, PLEASE give me feedback if you download this map! I made sure to pay attention to all my comments on SSBM HyruleTemple and I appreciate the feedback you all gave!

Level: SSBM Hyrule Temple

A recreation of the Super Smash Bros. Melee level, Hyrule Temple. Fan or not, the level should be a blast for everyone!

The triforces are jump pads, the vines are climbing regions. Teleport (USE key) from the lowest platform to the sniper pad, kill the sniper (USE key) with the no snipers sign in the level.
Climb to the top of the platforms on the columns as well.

One hidden room. Almost entirely made with custom textures- all from scratch.

Level: Skyscraper

Half remake and half original, Skyscraper is a recreation of the Balloon Battle level Skyscraper from Mario Kart 64. It has eight spawn points and a limitless at the ready supply of rail driver ammunition.

This is a rail map, and as such, there are no normal health and armor packs. After all, They wouldn't make much of a difference. Falling off the building top will yield instant death, so pay attention to where you're going.

Level: Bigger Donut

Half remake and half original, Bigger Donut is a recreation of the Balloon Battle level Big Donut from Mario Kart 64. It has eight spawn points and a good selection of weapons.

The top of each tower serve as a sniper location, and as a pathway to four Fusion Rocket Launchers, two Damage Amps, and two Invulnerabilities.

Level: Block Fort 2

Back and better than ever, it's Block Fort 2, a recreation of the Balloon Battle level Block Fort from Mario Kart 64. It has four spawn points in the same locations you start out in Mario Kart 64/DS, and a wide variety of weapons to choose from.

This map is a rebuild of my first map DM_Block_Fort. Added features include a skybox, improved textures, better lighting, proper music loop and full Mac support. There are also a few more weapons and secret rooms that weren't included in the original.

This map also contains amps this time around, but be careful how you use them. Once they've been taken, they're gone for good and won't be back until the map is restarted. On a good note however, their effect time has been doubled.

Level: Acid Compound

An acid based map with a large central room three floors high, and twelve smaller consecutive rooms around it on each floor. To compensate for it's large size and number of rooms, each room has an acid floor and walkways to get around in, so take care to watch where you're going.
If you fall in, it won't be very easy to get back out, but it is possible.

This map has twelve spawn points, four on each floor, and a wide range of weapons. This is my first released map created entirely from my own thoughts and not a recreation of something else, so I hope you all like it. Have fun! =D

Level: Labyrinth 8

A recreation of the 8th labyrinth from Quest 1 of The Legend of Zelda. There are seven spawn points and the full range of weapons available in Red Faction.

Originally I was going to place Geo walls in the bomb-able wall locations in the labyrinth, but decided to make them all plain doorways in the end. All the tunnels have also been connected to each other to make getting from one place to another easier.

My original intentions were to turn all the labyrinths from both quests into custom maps, but decided not to as they'd all be pretty much the same. I also figured out a way to combine all the labyrinths from Quest 1 having only two rooms clash with each other and wanted to make it a map as well. It would be too overwhelming in size however, and you'd almost never find another player to frag, so it was also scrapped in the end.

If anyone would like me to turn any of the other labyrinths into a custom map I'll gladly do it, but won't otherwise. After all, more of the same is like a trusted old friend, but too much of the same is like a never ending nightmare.

Level: Bomberman Arena

This map is based on the Nintendo DS game by Hudsonsoft "Bomberman DS" where you take the role of a Bomberman and use smarts to blow up the other bombermen with well placed bombs and power-ups. This is all done from a top-down 2d view ... I have taken this and put it in a 3d realm and have hoped to keep the fast paced action intact.

I have attempted to keep it as close to the source as possible without affecting game-play.

This is my first map and hope you all enjoy it.

Please point out any areas that you think I've done wrong or done right as it will help me out tremendously.
